Lilah is a child model whom I first worked with on a shoot with Chicago fashion designer Alexandria Olivia. We got along so great that before Lilah headed to NYC, she came down to Kentucky and did a shoot with Deata of Salon Bleu, and myself to add to her existing portfolio. It’s always such a blast shooting with a fierce and determined professional with such dedication. Good luck to Lilah in all that she does and I’m sure you’ll see more of her.

Model development shoot w/ Brooke B. & Salon Bleu

Brooke drove up from Paducah, Ky after booking one of my model development shoot packages with Salon Bleu. Model development shoots, in case you’ve never heard of them, are model packages that I work one on one with a model or thespian to create images they can use to build their portfolio. This can be a new model, diving into the fashion/commercial world, or a seasoned model looking to update his or her portfolio. All models who book a model development shoot with me are then added to my database and shown to clients for jobs that come up throughout the year.

Brooke requested a studio shoot, so we pulled together a few backdrop colors and used a selection of Brookes own wardrobe plus mine and a few pieces of Jewerly I’ve been dying to use in a shoot. Driving a total of 9 hours with her parents in tow, we wanted to make sure we had an efficient, but timely shoot. For three looks, plus hair/makeup by Deata Gregory- owner of Salon Bleu, the shoot lasted a total of 3 hours from start to finish. *Make sure to scroll to the bottom of the page to check out some fun behind the scenes images!

GOLDEN BONES – Austin, Texas Studio look book shoot

While I was in Texas, I spent time in Austin shooting at Golden Bones Boutique and Salon which is a one-stop shop for wardrobe styling, hair and make up. We shot the following set at The Velvet Cartel, which is located inside Golden Bones, and is a fully equipped studio and event management office with the lovely model and dancer, Callisto Griffith. The whole shoot lasted about an hour or so. It was quick and effortless and the energy was high. Let us know which was your favorite look!
